My name is Alesha, and I am a 25 year old fitness enthusiast who began her fitness journey at age 15. I started going to the gym with the goal of losing weight.
Over time, I developed a passion for weight lifting and learned everything I know today with first-hand experience.While I did enjoy the learning process, I had definitely yearned for a role model who looked like me and ate my culture’s foods.
I created my fitness pages on Instagram and Tik Tok to become that role model for others. As I shared my food vlogs consisting of my mother’s home cooked Pakistani meals, I quickly realized that there was a general consensus that South Asian foods cannot be part of a healthy lifestyle.
I’ve built the strength and physique I have today while consuming traditional South Asian foods.
I hope to apply my knowledge of training and nutrition to help guide my community create a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable and does not involve giving up the foods that we ate growing up and continue to love.
